What is the Bill of Lading?

The Bill of Lading (BOL) is a document – a legal contract between AKAT and the transportation company we arranged with to transport your RV or another type of loaded trailer.

As our customer, you or your assigned agent will need to sign the Bill of Lading to acknowledge satisfactory completion of the transport with no damages. It is your duty (or your agent’s duty on your behalf) to inspect your RV / Trailer / Cargo for any damages. In the unlikely event of any damages, these need to be described in the signed BOL and discussed by phone with an AKAT dispatcher during business hours.
